What is the Obama Dictionary?

This is a non-partisian essay, not endorsed by any political party, nor telling you whom to vote for on Nov 4, 2008. This information may lean the reader to vote either for or against Senator Obama, as it is only intended to provide a fuller understanding of the candidate and his agenda. Indeed, all voters should spend time at each candidate’s website. [Obama] [McCain]

This document is purposely concise, but also provides starting points for your own research searches via sites such as Google and YouTube. Scanning about 10 returns provides a good overview of various viewpoints. Add terms for more specific searches.

#1) Understanding Saul Alinsky

A Chicago socialist of the early 1900’s, son of Russian immigrants, he literally “wrote the book” on community organizing. Rules for Radicals defined guidelines for bringing “revolutionary change.” Alinski sought to organize the “Have-Nots on how to take power,” so to change "the world from what it is to what they believe it should be.”

Alinsky’s strategy was to use the system so that the mass of people “must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future.” The revolution would then come when the lowest 40% class eventually cease to be passive.

Alinsky influenced the entire Chicago social political scene, and touched all of the areas Obams worked in as an organizer, lawyer and legislator.

#2) Understanding “Community Organizing”

Chicago politics are now inseparable from community organizing, whose main functions are the registration of voters (in many cases creating famous fraudulent applications) and the agitating of institutions (especially banks) and political leaders to bend to their agendas. What started as “backyard organizations” are now well-funded machines, nearly exclusively for the Democratic party.

Obama worked for the Developing Communities Project, and later as a lawyer represented ACORN (suing CitiBank to make more sub-prime loans), two Saul Alynski-styled community organizations.

#3) Understanding William (Bill) Ayres

Founder (along with his wife Bernadene Dohrn) of the Domestic Terrorist group the Weather Underground, who later followed Saul Alynski’s Rules and turned to implementing his values within the Chicago and national education system. He greatly shaped the course of Obama’s political career, serving on boards together and possibly ghost writing Obama’s Dreams from My Father. Dedicated his 1974 communist manifesto Prairie Fire to Pro-Palestine Sirhan Sirhan (who assassinated Pro-Israel Bobby Kennedy.) Barak’s wife Michelle and Ayre’s wife Bernadene worked in the same activist law firm in the 80’s and 90’s.

#4) Understanding Jeremiah Wright

Obama’s pastor of 20 years, and close friend of Louis Farrakhan. Preacher of “Black Liberation Theology,” which also has ties to Saul Alynski’s teachings, but with a decidedly racial emphasis.

#5) Understanding “sub-prime loans” and “bailout”

Banks were pressured by legislation and community organizing groups to make loans to those who otherwise would not qualify. Heightening in the 90’s as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were given increased latitude, money flooded the market and housing prices spiraled upwards. When defaults avalanched, the pyramid scheme collapsed, insurance pools dried up, and the government came in to pick up the tab. Homeowners now pay more for their own home, and pay for someone elses’, too.

In just 3 years as a Freshman Senator, Obama became the #2 receipient of Fanney May lobbying money. Why? Simple: His reputation of pushing out their sub-prime loans and helping fund developers like Tony Rezko.

#6) Understanding “Infanticide”

In the Illinois senate, Obama was unwilling to define all babies born alive as deserving of medical attention. He claimed the language of the bill was ambiguous and could be applied to prevent abortions, but this has been thoroughly shown to be false. It did, however, fully clarify Obama’s absolute pro-abortion position.

#7) Understanding Rashid Khalidi

An anti-Iseralite who’s family and the Obamas regularly dined in each other’s homes. Obama toasted Rashid Khalidi in 2003, as reported by the L.A. Times. This fits into Obama’s many anti-Iseral, pro-Arab, pro-muslim relationships.

#8) Understanding “Spreading the wealth.”

“Joe the plumber” became famous when Obama’s repy tied his tax policy to his social policy; “spreading the wealth.” Obama promised even those not paying taxes would get refunds. Some equate this to welfare in disguise, and using taxpayer’s money to buy the votes where the money would go to. The Wall Street Journal precisely diagramed all income above $70k would see tax increases, yet Obama states those under $200k would see taxes lowered. This talking point is necessary to win the election, as those making $70-$200k represent a 40% voting block.

Obama said in a 2001 radio interview that while it would be difficult, he could imagine having the courts involved in wealth redistribution, which he equates with political and economic justice. Obama lamented the constitution did not say the government must do this, blaming the Founding Fathers for purposely constraining the government from doing exactly that.

#9) Understand THIS: “It’s the Judges, stupid!”

The single most lasting effect a president has is their appointment of federal judges, including the Supreme Court. Given Obama’s history and influences, what kind of worldviews would Obama’s judges have? They would not be “Original Constitutionalists” who understand the constitution does not give judges legislative power, but rather Obama would appoint those who at their (Obama’s) whim may enact any social policy they desire. This is the proven path for circumventing the people’s choices (via elections to the legislature and referendums), finally breaking the Constitution’s constraints.
